Terms of Service

2. Scope

These Terms govern the use of the Nexpense application and services.

By using Nexpense, the user agrees to these Terms.

3. Service Description

Nexpense is a personal finance tracking application that enables:

  • Recording and management of financial transactions
  • AI-based parsing of text and voice input
  • Financial analytics and projections
  • AI-based querying of financial data

4. No Financial Advice

Nexpense does not provide financial, investment, legal, or tax advice.

All outputs, including AI-generated responses:

  • Are informational only
  • May be inaccurate or incomplete
  • Must not be relied upon for decision-making

Use of the service is entirely at the user’s own risk.

5. AI Limitations

AI-based features may:

  • Produce incorrect or misleading results
  • Misclassify transactions
  • Generate incomplete or inaccurate responses

The user is solely responsible for verifying all outputs.

6. Accounts

  • Access requires Apple Sign-In
  • The user is responsible for maintaining access to their Apple account
  • Nexpense may suspend or terminate access in case of misuse

7. Rate Limiting and Fair Use

To maintain system stability and prevent abuse:

  • Requests are subject to rate limits
  • Limits may be adjusted at any time

Circumvention of limits is prohibited.

8. Prohibited Use

The user shall not:

  • Use the service for illegal purposes
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
  • Abuse AI functionality or automate usage
  • Circumvent technical restrictions or safeguards

Nexpense reserves the right to suspend or permanently ban users.

9. Subscriptions and Payments

Subscriptions are offered via Apple In-App Purchases.

  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled
  • Billing is handled by Apple
  • Cancellation must be performed through Apple account settings
  • Refunds are handled exclusively by Apple

A free trial may be offered. If not canceled before the trial ends, the subscription converts into a paid plan.

10. Availability

Nexpense is provided on an “as available” basis.

  • Continuous availability is not guaranteed
  • Maintenance, downtime, or interruptions may occur

11. Changes to the Service

Nexpense may, at any time:

  • Modify or discontinue features
  • Introduce new functionality
  • Change pricing or usage limits

Without prior notice.

12. Termination

Access may be suspended or terminated if:

  • These Terms are violated
  • The service is misused
  • Required for legal or operational reasons

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”.

All warranties, express or implied, are disclaimed to the maximum extent permitted by law.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Nexpense shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
  • This includes financial losses, incorrect data, or decisions made based on the service

Total liability is limited to €0 where legally permissible.

Where such limitation is not enforceable, liability is limited to the minimum amount required by applicable law.

15. Indemnification

The user agrees to indemnify and hold harmless sassential OÜ from any claims arising from:

  • Use of the service
  • Violation of these Terms

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Estonia.

17. Changes to Terms

These Terms may be updated at any time.

Continued use of Nexpense constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
